Job Guarantee Policy
BetterCyberCareer Job Guarantee
Applies To: Students enrolled in the BetterCyberCareer (“BCC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) GRC Career Track beginning with the August 2025 cohort and later.
1. Overview — Our Guarantee
We are committed to your success in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). If you satisfy all Eligibility Requirements, Graduation Criteria, and Job-Search Commitments outlined below and do not receive a Qualifying Offer for a Qualifying Position within the Guarantee Period, we will refund 100% of your paid tuition.
Plain-English summary (non-binding): If you complete the program as required, conduct a serious job search in line with our coaching, and still do not secure a qualifying GRC role within the specified time window, you are eligible for a full tuition refund.
2. Definitions
a) GRC Career Track
A 16-week, mentor-guided program covering governance, risk management, compliance frameworks, policy writing, control testing, third-party risk, audit readiness, and job readiness.
b) Background Check
A verification process conducted by an employer or authorized third party. Inability to pass mandatory background checks will render a student ineligible for refund.
c) Graduation Criteria
To graduate and unlock the Job Guarantee, students must:
- Complete 100% of the curriculum and pass all module assessments.
- Complete all milestones of the Job Simulator (e.g., risk assessment, policy suite, control mapping/SoA, audit plan, issue log, CAPA/CAR tracking).
- Publish a professional portfolio including required artifacts and at least two case write-ups.
- Complete a mentor-approved Capstone Project with all deliverables.
- Successfully complete three (3) BCC-approved virtual internships.
- Sit for and pass CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701 or current) within the required timeframe.
- Remain in good financial standing with all tuition paid in full.
- Maintain academic integrity and professional conduct.
d) Guarantee Period
Six (6) months starting from the date of official graduation confirmation. Extensions may be granted for:
- Seasonal slowdowns (+1 month)
- Market/economic downturns (up to +12 months)
- Force majeure events (up to +6 months)
e) Qualifying Position
Entry-level to early-career roles in GRC or related functions (e.g., GRC Analyst, Risk Analyst, Compliance Analyst, Control Tester, IT Audit Analyst, Third-Party Risk Analyst, Governance Analyst, Policy Analyst).
- Must be ≥30 hours/week for at least 3 months (employee, contractor, or paid internship).
- Must meet a compensation floor of USD $50,000 annually (or adjusted local-market equivalent).
f) Qualifying Offer
Any employment offer that meets the definition of a Qualifying Position.
g) Qualifying Markets
Remote-eligible roles available in your work authorization, or positions located in major metropolitan areas of the USA, Canada, UK, EU, or capital region of your country of residence.
h) Student Success Team
Career coaches, mentors, instructors, and staff who support your job readiness and search efforts.
3. Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Job Guarantee, students must:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Demonstrate English proficiency or complete remediation.
- Hold valid legal work authorization in target markets.
- Pass employer background checks.
- Pay tuition in full and remain in good financial standing.
Graduate by meeting all criteria in Section 2(c).
4. Commitment to the Program and Job Search
Before Graduation
- Complete all simulator milestones, portfolio items, and internships.
- Pass mock assessments and integrate feedback.
After Graduation (Job-Search Commitments)
- Submit at least 15 targeted applications per day.
- Perform at least 5 outreach messages per day and complete 2 informational interviews per month.
- Attend all scheduled coaching sessions, workshops, and mock interviews.
- Maintain up-to-date résumé, LinkedIn profile, and portfolio per BCC guidance.
- Track and report all job search activity weekly in the BCC tracker.
- Respond professionally to employers and BCC within 72 hours.
- Remain open to remote roles and entry-level opportunities consistent with GRC.
Certification Requirement (Security+)
Students must pass CompTIA Security+ within 8 weeks of graduation or before receiving their first qualifying offer (whichever comes first).
5. Disqualifications
Refund eligibility is void if:
- You decline a Qualifying Offer or withdraw from a qualifying process.
- You do not maintain a sustained job search as outlined.
- You accept roles outside GRC/related functions.
- You fail to meet Graduation Criteria.
- You miss excessive sessions, mock interviews, or career activities.
- You misrepresent information or violate professional conduct.
- You refuse remote roles or unreasonably limit your job search scope.
- You fail to maintain work authorization or required eligibility.
6. Refund Certification Process
To request a refund:
- Submit written, signed certification within 30 days after the Guarantee Period ends.
- Provide:
- Export of job search tracker
- Links to résumé, LinkedIn, and portfolio
- Proof of Security+ certification
- Internship attestations
- Capstone Project completion proof
- Confirmation of curriculum/module completion
- Any additional documentation requested by BCC
BCC will review the submission, may request an Exit Interview, and issue a written decision. Approved refunds will be processed within a commercially reasonable timeframe.
7. General Provisions
- The Guarantee may be exercised once per student lifetime.
- Refunds do not cover exam fees, devices, or living/job-search expenses.
- BCC reserves sole discretion in determining compliance.
- Terms may be updated prospectively; the version at enrollment applies.
- This Guarantee cannot be assigned or transferred.
- This policy is governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, unless otherwise required by law.
